New look on the way

Being a Gentoo user, I am rarely satisfied with the default appearance of anything at all. This template is based rather heavily on the default that comes with Movable Type. Better is possible - so I’m working on it.

It’s pure XHTML 1.0 Strict, with CSS2 for formatting, so upgrade your browsers now, or go somewhere else for your anti-insomnia hit.

What else came? Nothing else but Simcity 4!!!

Now this I am going to have serious trouble stopping playing. Quite good that it doesn’t run in Linux actually, means I can boot it and then do some work… however, Simcity 4 is a fantastic game, and on first impressions is way better than Simcity 3000 was. Way, way, waaaaay better. Looks fantastic too, and the regions idea is absolutely stupendous. Now I can have multiple cities which all reinforce and support each other economically, have workers who commute between them, and all the other joyful things of that kind. Hurray!

POP Came

Well, that wasn’t so bad after all. Woo!

POP cometh

It’s strange, because POP is easier than AIP, but I’m more nervous about this exam. Maybe it’s because I’ve got to make it there on my own - not an amazingly hard task I’ll admit, but I got a lift with Sax yesterday.

Must remember to leave plenty of time, in case something goes wrong with my bike and I have to blag a lift!

I think I’m also a bit worried that I’m going to have missed something out. It seems too easy, if you know what I mean. I’ll let you know how it went when I come back!

Well, that was AIP

Nice that it’s over, I’ve not encountered a more badly-written exam paper ever. Doesn’t anyone proofread these things?

Still, I don’t think I flunked it completely - at least, not very completely. Maybe just a little bit.

We’ll just have to wait and find out, won’t we? Mixing up bagof/3 and findall/3 was irritating though. As was not being able to remember what =.. does. I just looked it up - it’s the term deconstruction operator. Wonderful! Like we use that one a lot. Pffft. If the courseworks had been more sophisticated, now… more coursework I say! More! Maybe I should’ve voted for a year-long teaching period after all.
