Woohoo! A TFT monitor at last.

Okay, so it’s an outlandish expense, but I think as an end-of-degree present it’s worth it. Anyone want to buy my old CRT?

After the highly entertaining PoliceSpecials.com social on Saturday night, which I will not really mention any further as it’s unlikely to be of any great interest to most people and also because I didn’t get any pictures of it (although I’m still not convinced Stu’s telling the truth about the amount of vodka in my vodka and coke), I slept at Tom, Marcus and Lucy’s flat which is very nice but suffers from ventilation problems. Then on Sunday morning we headed for Holborn and my first Pagan Pride parade, organised as a precursor to the 6th Annual Beltaine Bash, a rather daunting event with stalls and booksignings and things which I didn’t go to, reasoning that I should probably think about getting my train back to Nottingham, which is another long story entirely.

Something occurred to me this evening. I have some suspicions about where this occurrance originated, but I’m not going to point any fingers. There wouldn’t be any point, Goddesses don’t tend to be in any one particular place which someone lounging on a bed in this world can point at — at least, not without being able to point at right-angles to reality. Or maybe not even then. I’ll have to look into that one day.

But I digress. Something occurred to me. I had to watch The Shawshank Redemption which in itself is quite enough to think about. Thankfully I could satisfy the urging to watch it quite easily, as Rob has a copy on DVD (as does Welfare, but Rob’s was the copy I borrowed). So I’ve just finished watching it, and this is more of an attempt to get my own thoughts straight than to tell anyone else about it.

Well, maybe it is an attempt to tell someone else about it. If you think that might be you, read on and see, but don’t ask me. I haven’t worked that out yet.

Well, I’ve seen it, and I can say that it’s excellent. I kind of get why some people might not like it, but personally I think it’s great. Read on for stuff that includes spoilage and assumes you’ve seen the film (and that you don’t mind hearing stuff from the game, not that that’s particularly critical as the film may be understood without it).
