The Lake District

I was in Keswick for a few days… took a lot of photos, but they’re not really that good to want to put them all online (only got limited server space after all). Therefore I’ve just got three… Derwentwater (showing off the image stitch assist mode of the camera coupled with Canon’s Windows software which I wish ran on GNU/Linux), Crow Park (which is basically looking the other way from the same spot as the previous one) and Dad prepares a barbeque (which is also an ideal way to show off the family holiday accomodation — I was sleeping in the green tent, which is actually my sister’s, but she was occupying the annexe on the awning instead this time).

It’s all over

…and it kind of ended well. Results are in, the marks have been counted and the Powers that Were have awarded me a 2:1 BSc in Computer Science. What fun.

I’m off again!!

Just to Keswick for a few days this time, with my parents and my sister. Should be good — providing, that is, that the weather holds. More when I get back.

Deutschland und Österreich

Filed under: The Universe — MaW @ 20:24

I just spent a very happy five days in Germany (Müchen, Ingolstadt, Berchtesgaden) and Austria (Salzburg). We visited many places and I took lots of photos. A selected few of the places are up now, and later in this entry I shall describe them. Photos of people will come later, and I’ll also be able to provide the full-sized originals to interested and involved people as and when they ask.

Belgium, man! Belgium!

Thames Valley Police have moved to the national eyesight standards. Only way I can get in now is through improvements to laser eye surgery.

Looks like one of my options just disappeared - maybe I should flip a coin?
