I’ve been offered the job… very happy. Not got details of pay and conditions yet though, but on the whole this should prove extremely good. Worth a celebration I think!

Update: found out what the pay is, the rest of the details haven’t been finalised at this stage but I’ve accepted, to start on the 18th. Woooooooooooooooooot!

Update 2: several people have asked what the job actually is… well, I’ll be developing stuff in C++ to make Linux-powered intelligent network caches go (or something like that). Obviously at this stage I’m uncertain of what exact part of the product line they want me to work on, or which part of any particular product, but hopefully we can sort that out without too much fuss. But it’s C++ on Linux, and I find this to be good.

So what do I do all weekend? I sit and program! But Towel is now up to version 0.0.2 and is getting mildly usable now.

And tomorrow I’m back to work, and the anxious waiting to see if my interview on Friday will have led to anything (like an offer).

Still, interview on Tuesday with another company. Figures crossed. Shame about the weather forecast, I’m going to be absolutely soaked when I get to work tomorrow morning.

With sweat, that is. Not rain. Note to self: use copious amounts of deodrant.

Well, second interview done… kind of want that job… a lot!

Nothing to do now but cross my fingers and hope, of course. Ah well.
