Exhausted!
Spent the weekend at a hotel and country club at Barnsdale, overlooking Rutland Water. Very pretty, but the beds were uncomfortable and the catering staff were horribly overworked leading to poor service. I’d far rather have eaten at Wagamama. Nice swimming pool though.
The reason for all this activity was of course a family one, leading to many people gathering together whom I haven’t seen for quite some time. The end result was quite exhausting. We did go to Geoff Hamilton’s gardens at Barnsdale this morning though; those are well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
And it’s not far from Nottingham either.
