Various ‘people’ have been leaving spammy, bizarre or simply insulting comments on some of the older entries around here in recent weeks. I didn’t bother saying anything until someone compared me to Comic Book Guy. So this is for the record:
I am not Comic Book Guy.
For one thing, he must weigh about five times as much. If he existed — which he doesn’t. The commenter goes on to say I have too much time on my hands and should get a life. This all begs the question of where this person was educated — did they not have geeks there?
If not, it must be a forlorn and dismal place.
And speaking of comments, nobody else has been commenting recently. Perhaps I should write about more interesting things?
What I never understand with these people who say we should “get a life” is what they are doing there telling someone to do that. Very odd.
I had someone turn up on a messageboard on another of my websites telling us to get a life and go and play with our friends. This on a site no one had used for 2 years…

Surely… posting pointless insults on someone else’s blog shows that the flamer himself has too much time on his hands and needs to “get a life.”
Sadly, some people will always be complete and utter morons. Why they feel the need to expose their idiocy by flaming is truly beyond me.
