The concept is simple. Write a 50,000 word novel during November.
Easy, right?
No, because then you think ‘hang on a sec — FIFTY THOUSAND WORDS??????’ and suddenly everything falls apart. I’m assured it’s only 1,667 a day, but to be honest that’s not necessarily any more reassuring.
Still, I’m going to have a crack at it. Ought to be fun, and I’ll have finished Only Slightly by then. Go have a look at NaNoWriMo

Cambridge Soundworks Inspire 6700 6.1 speakers… disturbingly cheap speaker set for the quality which makes you wonder why they even make higher spec ones (let me listen to them and I’d probably figure out why… hint hint)
Put them both together, and in my computer and you get one very happy Matthew in aural heaven. Being able to watch DVDs in surround sound is brilliant, and Neverwinter Nights has never sounded so good!
Music’s not bad either
