Happy New Year
So, first new year of me having a blog. How absolutely… not exciting.
First new year with me having a career. Is that exciting? No, actually, it’s kind of scary.
First new year spent in Nottingham, despite having spent the past three years at Nottingham University. No, that’s not exciting either. By next year I might not even remember it. Still, it was a good party. Photos online sometime when I get home and get my hands on the data cable for my camera, which I stupidly forgot to bring with me today.
So what needs to be done for 2004? This is the year I finally intend to join the police. Two things could happen this year to make this possible. Number one is the introduction of the rest of the Disability Discrimination Act covering the police, which might make it impossible for them to retain their current eyesight standards. We’ll see. Somehow I suspect they might worm out of it… which leaves option two, which is laser eye surgery. Kind of scary, but ultimately worth it I think. Unless it goes wrong, that is.
