Summer Solstice
I’ve not been blogging much lately. Suffice it to say that I’ve spent too much time playing City of Heroes… been taking lots of screenshots though, so I need to sort through them at some point and see if there are any good enough to put up here, to prove that at least I’ve been doing something vaguely occupying with my time. Been having a lot of fun though.
Also been to work a lot, been suffering with nasty hayfever, and had some nasty insect bites on my legs which were extremely painful and itchy for a while. All hail the pharmacist, who recommended an antihistamine cream which has made a significant impact on the misery my legs are now capable of providing. Unfortunately the hayfever’s gone to my eyes, which means I’ve not been able to wear my contact lenses all that much. They’re improving, so hopefully I can wear them for Saturday (see below) but the whole concept of having LASIK is going to have to wait until the hayfever season is over I think. Best to do it when my eyes are at their healthiest, as it’s not exactly something you do casually of a weekend.
Saturday afternoon is Spiral Grove’s open summer solstice ritual. It will be held at Wandlebury, which is just south of Cambridge, at 4pm and is open to all who wish to come. Hopefully we’ll get a reasonable turnout of interested folks, and that everyone who’s actually got a part to play in the ritual itself will turn up. One of them’s me, so there should be at least one person there.
I’m doing the south quarter invocation/devocation, so nothing too strenuous and not much to screw up. Fingers crossed…
Hey I was there doing the West/Water….is this Ben? Matthew?
