The Wedding

Ellie and Mike got married yesterday. It’s going to be strange to get e-mails from Ellie O’Callaghan, but I guess like most things that change we’ll get used to it before too long. Ellie herself might take a bit longer to get used to it of course…

Anyway, I put up my photos from the reception here — I didn’t have my camera with me for the ceremony, so I don’t have any pictures of that. I’m sure others will fill in the gaps in my coverage though, I suspect Graham has some good photos from outside the church, as I saw him taking several from a good spot.

I’d just like to say that I had a fabulous time. The ceremony was slightly odd, but that’s to be expected, and it was good to see it go off without any visible problems. If something did go wrong, everyone covered it very well. And since it ended with the bride and groom leaving as wife and husband, it can definitely be said to have Gone Well.

The reception of course was great fun. I was a bit apprehensive about it all, but it turned out to be great. Roast pheasant is very nice to eat at a special occasion, and they don’t get much more special than a wedding. Shame about the starter…

I would also like to mention that the band were excellent, and I had a great time dancing. Now, unfortunately, my ankles hurt from the unaccustomed exercise. Oh well.
