When I was in hall, we had a music room for this very purpose. Does your hall have a similar room, or one that can be used as such?

Oh, and I’m really really sorry about not replying to your email - I will It’s final (and I actually mean final) exam time here, and a little scary at the moment, so if I don’t, please hassle me again.

Neighbours tend to have a certain time threshold before they’ll complain, depending on how annoying it is. In my experience it’s somewhere between 10 minutes and half an hour. As long as each session does not exceed that time limit and you don’t repeat sessions within an hour, you’ll be fine. It’s not ideal, but much better than nothing.

(My experience is based on percussion practice, so actual values may differ for recorder…)
